Bono Consulting prepared the site engineering plans for the new Popeye’s restaurant with a drive-through lane located at 235 E. Dundee in Wheeling, Illinois.
This site was located on an IDOT highway but because we were able to avoid the IDOT permitting process by reusing an existing driveway and routing all the new utility services to the side street. The site required an extension of a Village water main which required IEPA water main permitting. The site required 10,000 cubic feet of storm water detention per Wheeling requirements and 1,600 cubic feet of volume control per MWRD requirements. The storm water vault was an open bottom storm trap system, and the volume control storage was below the outlet of the detention. We provided the site geometric plan and emergency vehicle plan using AutoTURN software.
Bono consulting also prepared the final as-built survey and certification of the stormwater management.
