La Lux Apartments and Retail – 4747 N. Ashland, Chicago, IL

Bono Consulting provided the site engineering plans for this 39-unit, 4-story mixed use building at the corner of Ashland Avenue and Lawrence Street in the Chase Park neighborhood in Ravenswood.

The site was over 15,000 square feet and therefore was a regulated site requiring stormwater detention. There is a 3,672 cubic feet stormwater detention vault under the parking garage that connects to the City’s sewer main on Lawrence Street. The storm water vault was cast-in-place concrete constructed with the concrete foundation work. The roof of the vault is the slab flooring of the parking garage.

The public sidewalks on both Ashland and Lawrence Streets had to be brought into compliance with CDOT ADA guidelines. The Bono team also provided permitting assistance from the Office of Underground Coordination (OUC) for the foundation and utility connection work, and from the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT).
