Bono Consulting was retained by the Townhome Owners Association (THOA) to develop a plan to improve the site drainage in one of the larger grass courtyards in the complex. After 30+ years of lawn and tree growth, the courtyard was no longer draining properly. The sidewalks had ponding water and the courtyard had numerous areas that would not drain and would be so soggy that a resident walking their dog would sink several inches into the lawn.
Bono Consulting performed a detailed topographic survey of the courtyard to locate the existing storm drains and drainage patterns. The proposed grading plan added new basins and storm sewers. The rims of the existing basins were lowered and new drainage swales were installed throughout the courtyard so that we could create positive site drainage throughout the lawn.
Bono Consulting also provided construction oversight throughout the construction phase to ensure that the THOA was getting the improvements that were shown on the contract drawings.
