Bono Consulting was hired to design the reconstruction of an existing parking lot in Chicago. Because the lot was more than 7,500 square feet, it was classified as a regulated site, requiring detention and infiltration.
Our design included large dry wells installed beneath the new asphalt pavement for volume control storage. We also decided to reuse the existing sewer service to cut construction costs to eliminate the roadway opening fee, saving the client some extra expenses. The project has since been completed, and the parking lot is now in full use.
