Access Community Health Center – 52nd and South Ashland, Chicago, IL – Regulated Site
Bono Consulting provided a topographic survey, site engineering, and permitting for this three-building complex located on the South side of Chicago. The three buildings consisted of: the Access Ashland Family Health Center, Access Center for Healthy Living, Access Center for Health and Learning. The project combined 18 adjacent Chicago lots for a new medical center campus.
Because an area of more than 15,000 square feet was being disturbed, this site was classified as a regulated site which requires stormwater detention and permeable pavement. Construction cost was minimized by storing some of the detention on the surface of the parking lot. The engineering plans included permeable pavement, oversized pipes for stormwater detention, ADA accessibility, LEED certification, and NIH certification.
Project status: The site is currently under Construction.
